A Clean and Happy Environment For Your Fur Children!
Some doggie daycare's either reek of bad dog smell or bleach. Not this place! Everything smells clean because it is! My girls love going to "doggy daycare" - they get so excited when they hear where we are headed! Amy, Joann and the other folks make sure my girls feel comfortable during their visit which makes me feel comfortable leaving them.

Best Doggy Day Care and Boarding I've found in Atlanta
My two dogs starting going to Kirkwood Bark and Lounge as soon as it opened in Nov 08 and they love it! I've used several pet service companies in Atlanta and was looking for a place with excellent staff and specialized attention for my very playful lab mix and older spaniel. Joann and her staff provide outstanding services, know my pets by name, and clearly care about them. It's rare for my dogs to be excited about going to boarding but they love being there and the staff can be trusted with providing excellent care.

Pros: The caring staff are the best. The entire building is very clean unlike many pet boarding and day care locations.

Great Care for the Pup
My Redbone Coonhound is about to be 9 years old (elderly for the breed) and a bit shy around packs of dogs; therefore, I'm a little overprotective when it comes to placing her in daycare. KB&L introduces the dogs slowly so she wasn't overwhelmed with the new environment. They also reminded me to bring items such as her bed and toys that could be kept in her kennel to serve as comfort in the new environment. Also, quite remarkably, this was the first time that she had returned from an overnight trip to a doggy daycare that she had not lost her voice from excessive barking. Basically, we had a great experience.

Pros: Smaller environment that is not overwhelmed with too many dogs.
Cons: Not a lot of the regular kennels so book early.

Best Doggie DayCare Around!
We use Kirkwood Bark and Lounge on a regular basis for our dog! The staff is friendly, warm and always professional. Most importantly our dog LOVES this place... in the mornings when I pick of the leash and he understands that he is going to KB&L - he literally starts wagging his tail! The team at KB&L treats him like he is their own too which makes us feel comfortable. I would suggest that you take your dog in for a "walk around" and check this place out. We wouldn't trust our puppy with anyone BUT them. :)

Pros: Trustworthy staff, my dog loves it here! :)
Cons: street parking - not always easy but not that bad for drop off/pick up
