Best kept secret in Atlanta for sushi is the Sushi House in Buckhead. It's a great find ? don?t let the location in a shopping center fool you, they have great fresh sushi in a hip, relaxed atmosphere.

Starters range from the piping hot edamame sprinkled with sea salt, to crunchy cool seaweed salad, and the shumai (steamed dumplings) that melt in your mouth. Sushi House has a long list of specialty rolls beyond the standard Philly roll you see everywhere. If you like spicy, try the baked Florida Roll with spicy tuna & topped with salmon; or to really turn up the heat, the Emperor Roll with seaweed salad, tempura flakes, chili sauce, sesame oil with yellow tail and tuna, topped with avocado and salmon. Yum!

Doing the low carb thing? The sashimi is always fresh with a pretty presentation, and the Geisha and Kuki Rolls leave out the rice with cool cucumber or asparagus to add a great crunch. If your friends who aren?t into raw fish are along, there are plenty of options for them to enjoy, from the Super Shrimp Roll filled with shrimp temp, cream cheese, cucumber, avocado & spicy mayo with a shrimp topping to traditional and tasty Teriyaki (salmon, beef, chicken) or Tempura (chicken, shrimp) dinners.

Sushi House in Buckhead is a great little sushi bar just north of Midtown. There are a lot of sushi places in Atlanta, and we have eaten at most of them. The majority are over priced for what you get, have no atmosphere, or too noisy with lousy food. But Sushi House is perfect for the locals and travelers. We had the sashimi platter but the specialty sushi maki's were the best. The staff was attentive and friendly and it has a nice little lounge area with a full liquor menu. I love the sake martinis and the house drinks. The best appetizer has to be the tuna guacamole. It has a lot of flavor and the sashimi is fresh-fresh!! Highly recommended.

This Sushi House is simply the best! It's small charm creates the perfect atmosphere for not only casual dining but intimate settings. You will not find a better sushi and Japanese food anywhere in town. I have been there many times with my family for a casual dinner and Valentines day with my husband & it was just awesome! If you are not interested in dinner go for some awesome and unique Japanese cocktails. You'll love it!
